Q: Is OT Helpline by Alex the same as OT Help Desk?

No. OT Helpline by Alex is an independent NBCOT exam preparation service and is not affiliated with OT Help Desk or any other tutoring companies. Each service operates separately with its own teaching methods, materials, and approach to exam preparation.

Q: Can you take pictures or record during a tutoring session?

Pictures, videos, or audio recordings of any tutoring is expressly prohibited, unless Client obtains permission from OT Helpline, which may be granted in OT Helpline’s sole discretion. Any authorized pictures or recordings are to be used solely for the benefit of the Client, and cannot be resold, distributed, broadcast or disseminated in any way to a third-party. Unauthorized pictures or recordings of any session, and/or dissemination of any recorded tutoring session contrary to the terms of the section will be considered a material breach of this Agreement. If such a breach occurs, OT Helpline may, at its sole discretion, immediately terminate the Tutoring Services Agreement. Termination by OT Helpline due to material breach of this section will result in Client forfeiting all prepaid tutoring sessions with no refund, and Client will be permanently banned from purchasing future tutoring services from OT Helpline.

Q: Do you have a cancellation/ rescheduling policy?

Cancellation is defined as permanently withdrawing from a scheduled session without rescheduling. Clients may cancel any tutoring sessions by providing at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice prior to the scheduled session start time and will receive full credit for a future tutoring session. If the Client cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, no credit or refund will be given, and tutoring services will be deemed to have been provided for the cancelled session.

Rescheduling is defined as moving a scheduled session to a different time or date, while still attending the session. Clients may reschedule any tutoring session by providing at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled session start time. OT Helpline understands that unforeseen circumstances may occasionally prevent attendance. To accommodate this, standard tutoring packages that involve four or six sessions will include a limited number of complimentary courtesy late reschedules for changes made with less than 24 hours' notice:

• 1-session package: No courtesy late reschedules

• 2-session package: No courtesy late reschedules

• 4 session package: 1 courtesy late reschedule

• 6 session package: 2 courtesy late reschedules

Once the allotted courtesy late reschedules have been used, any additional reschedules made with less than 24 hours notice, a $35 rescheduling fee will be charged.

Students enrolled in the Intensive One-on-One Tutoring Program may reschedule tutoring sessions without incurring late rescheduling fees. Rescheduling remains subject to scheduling availability.

Q: Do you have a refund policy for one-on-one tutoring services?

All purchases of private tutoring are final and non-refundable. A complimentary consultation is provided prior to booking so that prospective clients may obtain all necessary information regarding services, scheduling, and expectations before committing to a package.

By submitting payment, the Client acknowledges and agrees that tutoring time, preparation, and scheduling are reserved exclusively on their behalf. Accordingly, no refunds shall be issued once payment has been received, regardless of whether tutoring sessions have commenced.

The fees for the OT Helpline Exam Course are nonrefundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation, non-use, or dissatisfaction. By purchasing a course, the Client acknowledges and accepts that payments are final. Clients are encouraged to review course details carefully prior to purchase.

Q: Do the tutoring sessions expire?

Q: What is the Intensive One-on-One Tutoring Program and who is it for?

If Client is more than 15 minutes late logging into the scheduled Zoom session and fails to provide OT Helpline with notice that Client will be late, Client will be considered a “no-show” and tutoring services for that session will be deemed to have been provided by OT Helpline. In such circumstances no refunds or credits will be given for the missed session. If Client provides advanced notice of the late login, OT Helpline will provide tutoring for the balance of the scheduled session once Client logs in.

No. Standard tutoring packages do not expire. Once purchased, students may schedule and use their sessions at their convenience. However, students who plan to take the exam soon are encouraged to schedule their sessions with the tutor as early as possible to ensure availability.

The Intensive One-on-One Tutoring program is different. Because it is an 8-week program, all sessions are intended to be completed within the two-month period.

Q: Do you have a late policy?

The Intensive One-on-One Tutoring Program is an 8-week personalized tutoring program designed for students who want ongoing support while preparing for their board exam. Unlike standard tutoring packages, this program includes consistent tutoring, reserved scheduling, and 1-2 private tutoring sessions per week (up to 16 sessions). Additional tutoring sessions may be available upon request and scheduling availability.

It is intended for students who anticipate needing more than six tutoring sessions and prefer ongoing tutoring sessions with a structured study plan. Students are encouraged to enroll approximately two months before their planned NBCOT test date.
